• To propose a particular tool/item/grant, simply post to the mailing list with SyncStarter somewhere in the title.

• Your post should include:
  • The name of the item
  • A description
  • A supplier
  • A quote
  • Why you think we should should spend donations and membership dues on this item.

• This thread is where we talk about if this is a good idea, do we have the power, the space, who will be responsible for maintaining the machine, viable alternatives, and other details.

• To pledge money, announce this in the thread and/or email Prescott off-list. If you wish to donate anonymously toward the general SyncStarter matching fund or pledge toward a particular proposal, contact Prescott privately. Prescott reserves the right to make anonymous backers pay up front.

• Named backers can withdraw pledges at any time, anonymous backers should work out the details with Prescott in advance (recommended course of action is to place a deadline on a pledge).

• It still needs to be decided how much money we would like to throw at this per month. That is a separate discussion.
